When woman provide with funding and trainings, this will rise her capacity building, skills, improved her percapita income which in turn rise her status in the family and family welfare, her participation in decision making ans social activities as well. The project provided woman with, credit, inputs, training and social activities.The project covered 10 villages in the area, in which 500 woman were participated.Purposive sample consist of 200 woman were selected from the project population (woman who have 4-5 feddan from the 10 villages).Social survey method was used in this study primary interview by the research to for fill the comprehensive questionnaire. Secondary data collected from relative intuitions, previous studies, journals and internet. Statistical package for social science (SPSS) was used to analysis the data, using different statistical procedures, descriptive statistics, frequency and percentage distribution, chi-square test and correlation. The analysis revealed that: The respondents participated in the project activities with different percentage level. The production of the respondents increased. Chi square showed that there were significant different between women’s empowerment variable before and after participation in project activities and this indicated that women’s participation in project activities positively influenced women’s empowerment. Correlation test also showed that there is significant relationship between women’s participation in project activities and the empowerment of women economically and socially. In the light of the findings the study recommended the followings: Strengthens the extension programs, with provision of more finance services. Establishment of woman cooperatives for providing inputs supply and marketing services. Red meat exports. The study aimed to know the most important recommendations that appoint government agencies and the private sector in order to increase production and improve productivity. The study concluded that there is an inverse relationship with a significant and statistical effect between the exchange rate and the amount of meat exports by ٪77, while other factors b ٪23 are attributed to the fact that decreasing the value of the exchange rate ٪1 leads to an increase in the amount of red meat exports by ٪4. This study aims to identify the concept of climate changes, identify the elements of climate, identify the causes of climate changes, measure the extent of farmers' knowledge of climate changes and know the impact of climate changes on the corn crop. * The data was analyzed statistically using the SPSS statistical analysis program, which showed that the degree of Temperature does not affect planting dates, life cycle and crop structure, crop production and crop quality, as there is a clear effect of the amount of rain and its impact on planting dates, life cycle and crop structure, crop production and crop quality, and that the fluctuation of rain affects planting dates, production and crop quality. Also, the beginning and end of the rainy season affects the planting dates, and the production and quality of the crop. The study reached recommendations addressed to the various governmental institutions, civil organizations and administrations, and the community. The most important of these recommendations is the development of drought-resistant varieties with good quality specifications, the establishment of a meteorological station in the study area, the introduction of scientific methods Modern agriculture in the study area, strengthening and expanding platforms, infrastructures and tools to prevent emergencies a related to sorghum caused by climate change. 2026-05-17T13:22:22+01:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of Agricultural Science https://journal.oiu.edu.sd/index.php/FAJAS/article/view/3544 Incidence and Severity of Sooty Canker Disease on Date Palm in Northern State, Sudan 2026-05-17T15:32:57+01:00 Muntasir Adam M. mahadwi7@gmail.com El Rasheed Siddig Libs rasheedircc@gmail.com Mahdi Yahia Adam mahadwi7@gmail.com هذه الدراسة خاصة باجراء مسسح ميداني لمرض القرحة السخامية (ذبول الفروع) في نخيل التمر (Phoenix dactylifera L) في الولاية الشمالية من السودان والتعرف علي المسبب لهذا المرض ومدى حدوثه ونسبة الاصابة وشدته الاصابة وأعراضه المرضية. بدأت الدراسة بإجراء مسح ميداني للمرض في موسم 2013-2014 م في محليات حلفا,دنقلا,الدبة ومروي. وقد شمل المسح الميداني حوالي 50 مزرعة نخيل, وتم عزل المسبب الممرض والتعرف علية بناءً على خصائصه المورفولوجية, وتظهر أعراض المرض في نخيل التمر باصفرار في قمة الأوراق يعقبه جفاف وموت الأوراق, ذبول الأشجار وموت الإطراف حتى تموت الشجرة بكامله, تتقرح الأجزاء المصابة وتظهر طبقة سوداء ناعمة من الجراثيم الفطرية المميزة لفطر النتراسيا. كانت نسبة حدوث مرض القرحة السخامية عالية في حلفا ومراوي (31.7 ، 26.3٪) على التوالي ولكنها أقل في دنقلا والدبه (20.7، 21.3٪) على التوالي. بينما كانت نسبة الاصابة عالية في دلقو (41٪)، ارقو (35٪)، الكر (36٪)، شرق لبب (30٪). كانت نسبة الإصابة بالمرض في جميع المناطق التي تم مسحها مرتفعة وتتراوح بين 41-20٪ مع شدة المرض بين 28 - 16٪ وكان معدل الإصابة في نخيل التمر مرتفعًا حيث بلغ 25٪ مقارنة بالأشجار الأخرى مثل المانجو والموالح واللبخ والتي بلغت 13.5٪. تم عزل الفطرNattrassia mangiferae والتعرف علية من جميع العيينات المصابة من النخيل كمسبب لمرض ذبول وتقرح وجفاف القلف في النخيل وموت الفسائل وهو الفطر السائد المعزول في معظم العينات حيث بلغت نسبتة 25% بينما الفطريات الاخري متل Diplodia phonicum (11%) و Thielaviopsis paradoxa (10 %). 2026-05-17T00:00:00+01:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of Agricultural Science https://journal.oiu.edu.sd/index.php/FAJAS/article/view/3542 Habitat Preference, and Behavioral Activities of Senegal Thick – Knee (Burhinus senegalensis) in Bayara Wetland, Elssuki, Sudan 2026-05-17T15:32:57+01:00 Mohamed Elmakki Ali Elbzdawi makki71@gmail.com Abd elrahman Nour Eddien Abderahman Sulieman makki71@gmail.com Kamal E. It sits at the eastern bank of the Blue Nile (E:03352351 N: 1319302) Which considered as breeding, roosting sites for many bird’s species. The total area of it is 35,862 km2 (129m length, 278m long). The study extended from 28/7/2022 to 7/11//22022 during the rainy season, first period from 28/7/2022 to 7/9/2022, the second period from 12/ 10/2022 to 20/10/2022 the last period from 24/10/2022 to 7/11/2022. The total area was divided to four plots of (3225 length 278long) total area 8965.5 M2. The direct count method is used to count the birds number and try to monitor its behavior, feeding roosting site and other activities on the morning and evening. The morning count begin at 6 o’clock till 10 o’clock while the evening watching begin from 4:00 o’clock to 6:00 o’clock. Equipment used for data collection are a pair of binoculars (8X50 magnifications), Telescope - Swarovski (660 - 940), digital still camera for documenting, data recording sheets, notebook The bird was observed, counted if inside each block only and notes were taken directly about activities pattern. A pair sample test was used to compare between the number of birds in the morning and evening, using PSPP programmer. The total number of bird is 2789. In the morning 646, 473, 226 with total 1345 in the three period respectively and evening 696, 514, 234 total 1444 first period the high number of individual recorded in block number 1, while the lowest in block number 4. Apair sample t. test result revealed no statistically significant difference between the two periods p<0.05 ((t (10) = 0.29, p= 0.788). Senegal thick- knee is very sensitive to human, favored habitat is near water but spent more time at high land between bushes. Feeding on some grasses, small reptiles and insects or anthropods. No nest recorded during the study period in the site but there are evidences that the bird fly away crossing the Blue Nile to the other bank. (A). 2026-05-17T15:32:57+01:00 Yagoub Magboul Yagoub d.yagoub@hotmail.com Mayada Mohamed Alawad manaldody@yahoo.com This study was conducted to investigate the effect of feeding graded levels of Rhynchosia Minima (0%, 5%, 10%) on the performance and external body measurements of Sudanese desert goats. Twenty seven goat kids less than one year old and of initial body weight of (8.14 kg) were utilized. These kids were divided into three experimental groups of nine kids each. Three isocaloric (12.2 Mj/kg) and isonitrogenous diet (17%) containing graded levels of Rhynchosia minima was offered to the kids groups. Results revealed that addition of Rhynchosia minima to the ration significantly (p<0.05) increase the feed intake and the body weight gain. Also feed conversion efficiency was significantly (p<0.05) influenced by adding Rhynchosia minima to the ration. As far as external body measurements was concerned, back length and thigh circumference was significantly (p<0.01) increased by increase inclusion of Rhynchosia Minima in the ration while heart girth was significantly (p<0.05) increased by inclusion of the tested material. 2026-05-17T00:00:00+01:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of Agricultural Science
