الملخص

Hyperthyroidism is associated with increased metabolic activity and may enhance reactive oxygen species generation, potentially resulting in oxidative stress and disruption of antioxidant defenses. Gum Arabic (GA) has demonstrated antioxidant properties in several experimental models, but its effects on thyroid tissue under conditions of thyroxine-induced hyperthyroidism remain insufficiently characterized. Vitamin E, a well-established lipid-soluble antioxidant, was included as a comparator.
