This study aimed to investigate the yield, chemical composition, and antimicrobial activity of essential oil extracted from Alpinia officinarum rhizomes sourced from the Sudanese market. Dried rhizomes were subjected to steam distillation for 4 h to obtain essential oil, and the yield was calculated (% w/w).
