 This research aims to reveal the features of jurisprudential criticism of Ibn Rushd al-Hafid through his book "Bidayat al-Mujtahid wa Nihayat al-Muqtasid", and its core was based on an introduction in which jurisprudential criticism was defined, and three topics; the first of which was devoted to defining Ibn Rushd and his book, and the qualifications of jurisprudential criticism in his view, and the second dealt with the methods of jurisprudential criticism in Ibn Rushd and its motivations, and the third dealt with the tools of jurisprudential criticism in Ibn Rushd and its features, using the inductive, descriptive and analytical method.

Among the results that the research reached:

Jurisprudential criticism in Ibn Rushd is a talent and an industry; its motivations are numerous, and they are united by the opposition to what the jurisprudential opinion should be based on, and its tools are diverse, represented in his optimal knowledge of the sciences of Sharia, and other sciences, and he employed them well, placing each tool in its proper place, reaching his goal with wonderful success.
