Abstract

This study examines Hisbah as a regulatory mechanism within the Islamic administrative system and its role in promoting social justice. The research provides a Sharia-based foundation for Hisbah by clarifying its concept, principles, and objectives, which center on safeguarding rights, preventing violations, and achieving public interest. It further explores the relationship between Hisbah and justice through an analytical review of Islamic jurisprudence and relevant scriptural evidence, as well as discussing contemporary applications of Hisbah in modern governance systems. The study concludes that Hisbah represents an effective regulatory institution for maintaining social order and reinforcing justice, and that its modern implementation can significantly contribute to strengthening community justice in line with Sharia objectives.
