Abstract

This study focuses on the eminent Tābiʿī scholar Muhammad ibn Kaʿb al-Quraẓī, one of the prominent exegetes among the successors, who was distinguished for his method of linking the Prophetic hadith to the Qur’an. He used to say: “Whenever I heard a hadith from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), I searched for its place in the Qur’an.” The study aims to identify the texts in which the harmony between the Prophetic Hadith and the Qur’an appears according to Imam al-Qurazī, and to analyze them and clarify this harmony by referring to classical books of Tafsīr and Hadith.
