Abstract

his study presents a juristic and analytical examination of perjurious oaths (false and sinful oaths), highlighting their gravity and profound impact on the protection of rights and the stability of social and financial transactions. The research aims to define the true nature of perjurious oaths in Islamic jurisprudence, distinguish them from other types of oaths, clarify their legal ruling, examine the Qur’anic and Prophetic texts emphasizing their severity, analyze the juristic disagreement regarding the obligation of expiation (kaffārah), and identify their consequences in this world and the Hereafter.
