Abstract

Abstract

Background: Thyroid hormones are essential for maintaining metabolic balance and play a significant role in hematopoiesis. The thyroid gland influences erythropoiesis by stimulating erythropoietin secretion and increasing erythroid progenitors.

Objective: This study aimed to assess iron profile and selected hematological parameters in Sudanese patients with hypothyroidism.
