Abstract

This study aimed to extract, isolate, and spectroscopically characterize flavonoid compounds from the leaves of Cassia arereh Del. and Terminalia brownii, two medicinal plants traditionally used in Sudan, with emphasis on their chromatographic behavior and UV–Vis/NMR spectral features. Dried leaf materials were extracted by Soxhlet extraction using 95% ethanol. Preliminary flavonoid screening was conducted using standard qualitative chemical tests
