About the Journal

The Journal of Agricultural Sciences is a refereed scientific biannual journal that publishes high quality and original research papers, newsletters, review Articles and scientific notes concerning the different fields of Agriculture.

 Journal objectives:

Deepening and enriching scientific research.

Spreading inherent knowledge and scientific research results to researchers inside and outside Sudan.

To communicate effectively with the local communities and service their issues.

 

Author Guidelines:

Papers should type by using simplified  Arabic font (14) for Arabic manuscripts and Times New Roman font (12),paper size (A4) with 3cms margins on all sides.

The paper should be designed as follows: Title page is a separate page before the text. Title page should be provided with the following information:

Title: should be concise and indicative. Avoid abbreviations and formulate where possible.

Author‘s(s) name and affiliation: i) Indicate the given name and family name clearly. Present the author‘s/s affiliation address and e-mail address below the name.

Abstract: The Abstract should state the purpose of the study, the major results and conclusions and should not exceed 300 words.

Introduction: State the objective of the work and provide an adequate back –ground and avoid a detailed literature survey.

Materials and Methods: Should be informative with particular attention to the design, analysis and statistics.

Results and Discussions: Should be clear and concise, Avoid reproducing information already in the table. Discussion should indicate clearly the significance and implications of the results of obtained.

References: Every reference cited in text should appear in the reference list. Only published or in press articles or books may be cited.

Reference style in the text: Single author: the authors name without initials and the year of publication.   Two authors: - Both authors name and the year of publication    Three or more authors: - First author‘s name followed by et al. and the year of publication.

References list: Write the author‘s family name then first and second name     initials, year of publication, Article title) between parenthesis, journal title italic, volume number page inclusive first-last.

Illustrations, Figures and Tables:  Photographs must be numbered on the reverse, with the author’s name. Tables should be self-explanatory, labelled at the top with numbers and titles, and should be typed on separate sheets. Unites of measure should be metric. 

Font of tables in Arabic Research) Simplified Arabic (size 10), and in English Times New Roman (size 8). If statistical treatment has been applied explain in the legends of tables and figures.

Notes: Unless manuscripts are written and presented in the proper format as suggested above they will be returned to the author without being reviewed. All material submitted for publication, whether accepted or not, will not be returned to authors. The Editorial Board’s decisions regarding suitability for publication are final. The Board reserves the right not to justify those decisions.
