 his research aims to study the effect of the science of class in revealing the mursal according to Abu Hatim al-Razi in the book Ilal al-Hadith by Ibn Abi Hatim; and the research sought to clarify what is meant by irsal according to Abu Hatim al-Razi; which is that which has an absolutely broken chain of transmission. However, I have collected the hadiths that Abu Hatim al-Razi judged to be irsal in the specific meaning that the terminology of the later scholars has settled on.

The research showed the relationship of knowing the class in revealing the irsal and the extent of the importance of the class and its effect in judging the hadiths as irsal.

In my research, I followed the inductive approach in collecting the hadiths that Abu Hatim judged to be irsal by knowing the class in the book Ilal al-Hadith by Ibn Abi Hatim, then the analytical and deductive approach.

The research addressed the extent to which Abu Hatim al-Razi benefited from the science of classes in revealing the irsal. One of the most important results of this research is that the number of mursal with the help of the science of classes; one hadith from the mursal of the companions, while the mursal of the followers from the Prophet, peace be upon him, is ten narrations.
